While the sprawling Fairview Shopping Centre might be the region’s best-known shopping destination (and for good reason) it’s just one of the many places to scratch your retail itch. From the island’s most celebrated florist to vintage designer handbags, rare sports collectibles, children’s books — no matter what you’re shopping for, you’ll find it in Pointe-Claire.
1. Westmount Florist
Having originally opened down the road from the iconic Montreal Forum in 1962, Westmount Florist has, in its 62 years of business, flourished into one of the city’s premiere floral companies.
The Pointe-Claire Village location, the only other in existence, would open its doors 20 years later in 1981. Today, Westmount Florist is run by the second and third generations of the founding family who maintain the company’s sterling reputation for sourcing impeccable seasonal flowers and creating breathtaking arrangements.
